Asterisk Assistants
Configuration of Asterisk for Macintosh
The Asterisk Assistants are a collection of native MacOS X GUI applications for the configuration of the Asterisk telephony server software running on the same Macintosh. Each Assistant is designed for a particular configuration task. No prior telephony skills are required.
Asterisk Assistants are designed to work with Asterisk installations in default locations for Asterisk related files and folders and they work best with Macintosh Asterisk builds from Sunrise Telephone Systems. Click here for details on A4M builds by Sunrise.
New Extension Assistant
An Assistant to configure Asterisk to recognise client telephone devices and assign local extension numbers. Version 1.1 has been updated for MacOS X 10.4 Tiger. It includes French, German, Japanese and Spanish localisations.

Free World Dialup Assistant
An Assistant to configure Asterisk to make and receive free calls through the Free World Dialup network (FWD). Version 1.1 has been updated for MacOS X 10.4 Tiger.

Voxbone Assistant
An assistant to configure Asterisk to receive calls throught the EU based Voxbone VoIP service. Voxbone provide VoIP DID service in over 35 countries.

In the Pipeline
Assistants for the following configuration tasks are in the pipeline:
- to configure Bonjour service advertising
- to remove configuration items
- to configure text-to-speech
- to configure voicemail
Further, the Sipura-3000 Asterisk Assistant will be relaunched as a commercial product.
